I first came to traditional midwifery through my own first pregnancy and birth.  I now have two babies, neither of whom are babies anymore, and both of whom were both born in the loving company of Certified Professional Midwives.  After first becoming a parent myself, I have since earned an Associate of Applied Science of Direct Entry Midwifery, and had an incredible apprenticeship journey with several different homebirth midwives throughout northern, southwestern, and southeastern Minnesota, as well as two years spent with a freestanding birth center in North Minneapolis.  I am incredibly grateful for my diverse experiences, which have blessed and enriched my life and formed me into a the well-rounded midwife that I am. I view the peripartum as a sacred season, through which I am blessed to walk with families as they journey into parenthood, learning their own strength and discovering empowered agency for themselves and their families.
